Elyssa comes to the food industry after years of covering restaurants, food culture, and retail/ecommerce as a journalist, editor, and market researcher, most recently at Bon Appétit (Condé Nast) and eMarketer. She is also the co-founder of independent food magazines Drift and Ambrosia, which take a global approach to food culture. Her interests lie at the intersection of food, media, culture, consumer behavior, and technology. 

She is pursuing an MBA at Columbia Business School and has a BA in Comparative Literature & Society from Columbia University. Elyssa has most recently worked on strategy and product development projects at Apple on its Apple News team, and for New York-based restaurants and CPG food startups. As a born-and-bred New Yorker, it’s safe to say that her spirit meal is penne alla vodka and a seltzer.
